These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Genetase website, software, application programming interfaces (APIs), generated reports, and related services provided by DN46 Labs Ltd (trading as Genetase) ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using our services, including uploading files or submitting data, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the services.
For the purposes of these Terms:
You may only submit genetic data belonging to yourself or to other adults for whom you have obtained explicit and informed consent to process such data. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights and authorisations to provide such data.
You may not access or use the Services in violation of applicable export control laws, sanctions regulations, trade restrictions, or other applicable laws.
You represent and warrant that you are not located in, organised under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in any jurisdiction subject to applicable sanctions or trade restrictions that would prohibit access to the Services.
We provide digital genomic and bioinformatics services, which may include:
Reports are generated using computational pipelines and, where applicable, manual scientific review. Results are based on current scientific knowledge and third-party datasets, which may evolve over time.
Services are provided as a commercial informational research service and are not clinical or medical testing services.
The Services are provided as informational, research, educational, and computational analysis services only.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, the Services are not intended to constitute:
The Services are not validated, certified, or approved for clinical, diagnostic, medical, or regulatory use.
Services provided by DN46 Labs Ltd (trading as Genetase) may vary depending on whether the engagement relates to an individual analysis request or a commercial, research, or organisational consultancy engagement.
For individual users, the service generally includes:
Submission of an intake form does not guarantee acceptance, availability, or provision of services.
We reserve the right to decline, defer, or limit any request at our discretion, including for reasons such as scientific, operational, technical, staffing, or capacity constraints.
The intake process may require limited personal, project, or background information to assess suitability for the service.
For individual analysis services, payment is requested only after a user has been invited to proceed. Once payment has been accepted and analysis has commenced, the service is deemed to have started.
Commercial, enterprise, research, and consultancy engagements are subject to separate discussions and may require additional agreements, including project scoping, quotations, proposals, and formal contracts.
Unless otherwise stated in a separate written agreement or applicable Refund Policy, payments for services that have already commenced may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.
Optional standalone informational discussion sessions relating to genomics, bioinformatics, and research topics may also be offered independently of any report. These sessions are provided for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute consultancy, medical advice, or genetic counselling.
Genomic interpretation is inherently probabilistic and subject to scientific uncertainty. Reports represent a best-effort analysis based on available data and methodologies at the time of analysis.
Genetic variant classifications, trait interpretations, risk estimates, correlations, and scientific conclusions may change over time as scientific knowledge, methodologies, databases, and consensus interpretations evolve.
We do not guarantee that any interpretation, report, analysis, or output will remain accurate, complete, or consistent with future scientific understanding.
All outputs are provided for informational and research purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice or clinical judgment.
You must consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any medical decisions. No doctor-patient relationship is created through your use of this service.
The Services are not intended for emergency, urgent, or time-sensitive medical use.
Research participation is optional and requires your explicit consent, which is separate from use of our core services.
If you choose to opt in:
We may offer separate consultancy and advisory services relating to genomics, bioinformatics, software systems, and scientific workflows.
Such services are typically provided to organisations, research groups, or commercial partners under separate written agreements, proposals, or statements of work.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, consultancy services:
As part of the standard service, users may receive general discussions relating to their reports, platform functionality, and research findings. These discussions are informational in nature and do not constitute consultancy, genetic counselling, or medical advice.
Commercial or enterprise engagements may be governed by separate written agreements which take precedence over these Terms.
Certain services may include a time-limited report discussion session as part of a bundled service package that includes both report delivery and a follow-up discussion.
Where included, the report discussion session is optional to attend and is provided as a supplementary feature of the overall service. If you choose not to attend, no partial refund will be issued for unused session time.
These sessions are intended solely to:
Report discussion sessions are informational in nature only and do not constitute genetic counselling, medical advice, clinical interpretation, diagnosis, treatment, healthcare services, or any form of regulated professional advice.
Session scheduling is subject to availability. While we aim to accommodate users across different time zones, exact timing cannot be guaranteed in all cases. Where a video call using Google Meet or another online meeting platform is not suitable, we may offer alternative formats such as written questions and answers, provided on a best-efforts basis and subject to operational constraints.
Nothing stated during these sessions should be relied upon for clinical, medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or regulatory decision-making.
Some services require payment, which is processed through third-party payment providers. By completing a purchase, you authorise the applicable charges to be processed by these providers.
Prices are displayed prior to purchase and may be updated from time to time. Any changes will not affect purchases that have already been completed.
Payments are subject to the applicable Refund & Cancellation Policy and any mandatory rights under applicable law.
For paid services, the service is considered to have commenced when payment has been accepted and any of the following activities begin:
By requesting or permitting commencement of digital analysis services before the end of any applicable statutory cancellation period, you expressly consent to immediate performance of the Services and acknowledge that certain cancellation rights may be lost once performance has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Preliminary intake review, eligibility screening, or invitation processes do not constitute commencement of paid services.
Due to the nature of digital genomic analysis and personalised report generation, refunds are generally not available once payment has been accepted and analysis, data processing, or report generation has commenced.
Full details regarding eligibility, exclusions, and cancellation conditions are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the service.
By submitting data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use, store, process, transmit, and analyse such data solely as necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the services.
